The rain love

NOTE: Once, I have read an interview done to Katie. She said to have danced with someone under the rain, and  she had found that very romantic gesture. I have thought that, obviously, that someone could be Josh. For this reason, I have written this fan fiction. Besides the its final is as I have always dream for Katie and Josh, in their real life: one romantic final, exactly as they were them during the period than Dawson’s Creek.


That afternoon was raining heavy. If someone had slept for years and wake up now, he  wouldn’t have believed that we were in May.  Another lightning and the rain is more impetuous. Katie walked faster. Destination missed a lot it. Suddenly the rain stopped falling and Joey didn't feel the drops anymore to bathe her face. In this time, she felt to wrap her waist with an arm and a family voice spoke in her ear.
J: You’ll get a sick!- she turned to a man and she smiled him. Her heart jumped in her breast e she would have liked to jump to his neck. On her cheek one tear went down. He removed his hand from her waist and he take the tear away her face. Then he covered her with the umbrella. Katie was wet and chilled, and this, remembered a same happened a Josh a few years before: them two under the rain of Wilmington. They were embraced and they danced while the rain went down. There wasn’t music but it didn’t care them because the real music came from their hearts.  Now, as the same, the Josh and Katie’s hearts beat strong.
They reached the shop of shoes.. They arrived to the best shop of shoes in silence and they stopped.
K: Thank you for the passage!- she smiled because in reality it wasn’t real passage.
J: No problem…- he kissed her cheek but the contact with their lips is longer than the expectative. Katie put her hand on her cheek on hand of Josh and then she closed the eyes.
K: You miss me!- she told a low voice but despite the rain Josh felt. He went away his head then he looked her in the eyes. Finally he kissed her forehead, as usually. She embraced him and smelled his perfume that came to mind memories. Perhaps it was the perfume of his skin. She went away and came in the shop. When she turned, Josh isn’t anymore. For the moment she believed that was everything a dream, but his perfume was in air. So it was all true.

She put the keys in the lock and the door opened. The thing seemed strange because she remembered of they affirm closed well. She walked in the dark room, and then she arrived in the living room, she saw the candles lighted on the chimney, on table, front of the windows e in every corner. There wasn’t anyone. Katie made back a step but she bumped against something, or better, someone. She didn’t turn. She felt some hands wrapped her waist and she understood that they were the same hands of the afternoon. He made his chin on her shoulder and Katie sighed.
K: Is this for me?- she said a low voice. She didn’t want to break the magic. He turned her and took her waist.
J: See…today, when I went you under the rain, you were wet and I looked you…I have had one deja-vu…You and me…the rain…and a dance…- Katie smiled and she remembered this nice and romantic moment -…that time, There wasn’t the music…- the sound it felt in the room-…I have wanted to remedy!- he smile and he moved near Katie’s face. They danced. They lived that moment with deep complicity. When the music stopped, Josh moved away and switch off the radio while Katie looked him. She loved him.
K: We never have had the our dance!- she thought a loud voice.
J: Now we have it and we’ll remember it forever!- he replied while he moved to her.

- That I said today…- she took a air-…it’s true!- Josh saw the frighten in her eyes and so he smiled. Why she was frighten?
J: I know…- he caressed the face-…you miss me!- he said touched her lips. Katie closet her eyes and when she opened it all was real.
K: Please, Josh, Don’t leave anymore me!- she cried- I need you!- she said hiding the face in his breast. He caressed Katie’s hair and spoke in her ear sweet words.

TWO YEARS LATER…

Josh got up from the bed because he was annoyed from the faucet that lost water. It is impossible to sleep. He walked in the kitchen and made a coffee. While he about to drunk, someone knocked the door. It was Katie! She quickly entered in the room.
K:I need you this morning!- she said
J: Good morning!- he said jokingly.

Katie saw the cup of coffee and walked toward it to drink a sip, but Josh stopped her – This is mine! It’s another if you want it!- he drunk his coffee.
K: Remember I’m your guest!- she jockey.
J: Look, while you enter in my house!- she made a gasbag and he made a funny face.
K: My mother want that I go to dinner from her, tonight!
J: And so?- Josh elevated his eyebrow.
K: So…- she approached smiling, as she usually did when she wanted  to make to do him what she wanted.-….so…you could escort me!- she throw her arms on the Josh’s neck and she stared in his eyes.
J: No, I don’t!- he tossed his head
K: Please!- she implored- For me!
J: Don’t you believe to took advantage of my kindness with the excuse “ for me” ?

K: Oh, poor man! The baby innocent muddle from bad witch!- she made fun  of his.

J:  I’m not a innocent but you’re a bad witch!- He embraced
K: Do you think this?- she wrinkled the forehead. He agreed and she tired to detach herself from his embrace. She don’t succeed, but she busted to laughing – This is the reason because you love me!
J: Sure!- laughed him-  How would I do without you?- he said. She lowered her head and then she looked him in eyes, smiling.
K:So? Do you come me?- Josh thought then he smile- Thank you very much, Josh! You are only!- She embraced him
J: Can I have the time for change me?
K: Yeah! Take your time!-  Josh walked in his room. Katie sighed. She didn’t want to take alone that trip and with him it would have been more amusing.
K: Can I put Britney Spears?- she asked with a different DC in her hands during the trip.
J: Try and I put throw you out!- he threatened her aiming him a finger against.
K: Ok, ok!- She put up the hands- I put…- she stared all cd-…but, What is?-  Josh puffed, he took one cd and he put in radio
J: Was it so difficult?- he raised the eyebrow.
K: Uh, you’re nervous!- she joked, but she noticed that he was very nervous.
J: Perhaps I’m nervous because a girl has wakened up too soon this morning…- Katie gaped
K: You were awake for the tap!- she answered
J: It is details!
K: Seriously, Josh…I see you too nervous….Is it for my guilt?- She asked

J: No, It isn’t for you guilt, Kate!- she loving smiled.
K: Is it for me? You didn’t want to came from my parents tonight but I have insisted and…
J: Katie!- he stopped her- I have said that it isn’t for you!- She explained for the second time.
K: So, what does he take you?!- Josh saw out the window
J: I don’t want to speak!- he answered. Katie didn’t protest.
K: How you want…- she turn to the window-…if you don’t want to speak, it’s ok for me…- Josh smiled because He knew that she was very noise-…but if you changed a idea…
J: Katie!- she called her
K: I’m shut up!- she did the pout and Josh disarranged her hairs.  She gave him a fist.
J: Ouch! If hurt me, we go out road!- he joked but she kept on holding the pout and she saw out the window.

 

They arrived front of Katie’s house and parked their car.
K: I don’t think that my parents are in home…probably their are in the restaurant!
J: Is the dinner in the restaurant?- Katie nodded. 
K: We can go a foot!-  They went out the car and walked to restaurant.
J: I love to walk here…- She thought a lower voice
K: Do you speak for the nervous??
J: No, I don’t. I speak in general- he answered, putting his arm on Katie’s shoulder
K: We don’t stay a long, Josh! Ok?
J: Ok! I need of a confirm… in reality, I have already taken the decision!-  he didn’t add nothing else.
K: So, you were nervous for a decision! Which decision?- she was very curious
J: I’ll speak later!-  Katie sighed and Josh smiled.
They arrived at the restaurant
J: Can I know who are?
K: My mother and father, my brother and my sisters with their respective husbands and children!- she answered- You know everybody, Josh!
J: Ok!
K: When people that you don’t know frighten you?
J: Have I said this?- he stared her with attention
K: We go in!-  she ignored the question. She took his hand and dragged into the restaurant. They went to her family and everybody said hello Katie e Josh
M: It is beautiful to have you here, Josh- Katie’s mother embraced him
J: I’m very happy to be here after so much time!
The dinner was good. Katie spoke with her sisters and Josh loved to speak with Katie’s brother and father. In reality, he loved Katie’s family. They treated him as a son and he loved come back Toledo when he were with Katie.  Arrived the dessert and Josh, as wanted to do, he wanted to give a speech. He stood up and cleared the voice. He watched every face in that table for catching their attention. He had a little fear. Then he looked Katie. She stared him with her fantastic, brown eyes. She was surprise and anxious of realize what happen. He smiled and spoke.
J: I knew you seven years ago… I was a little boy when I came to your house with Katie.…you treated me as your son… Even if Katie and I left there, you keep on loving me! This is the reason, after my mother and sister, you are my family! A solid and happy family. I have always wanted a family as yours…so, I got a decision and I want to speak with you…you are the first person that I tell it, so I’m shake…- he smiled. Josh went to Katie and knelt before her. He took Katie’s hand-…I have thought so much and my head broke out…I made a pro and against list but, the against column was empty … except the confusion….but we can make up for this, no?- Katie smiled but she didn’t want to understand what Josh wanted to say -…you think that this is a rash gesture, but truly, it is my heart that orders me… now, we’re not a couple, this is true…but we know each other since long time and our relationship is stronger than our friendship, stronger than love…- Katie wrinkled her forehead -…ok, I came the point, don’t worry!- he smiled her, then cleared the voice- Katie, do you want to get married me?- she opened her eyes wide and everybody said “oh” . People stopped here for saw the declaration. They wanted to know Katie’s answer- Please, tell me something!- he implored her. Katie laughed and her face was bathed in tears.
K: We are not a couple…- Josh’s eyes was full the terror-…but I love you so much!- she smiled and they kissed. Katie’s family stared them. People clapped, Katie and Josh smiled each other. He took her hand and we went out of the restaurant. He closed the door, took Katie’s face in his hands and he kissed her. She lift up in point the foot and she gave him a passionate kiss. The rain started. Katie and Josh were completely wet . They raised their eyes to heaven, then they laughed. They kissed.
J: Shall we dance?- he bowed and offered his hand to Katie. She took his hand.  He went near Katie and they danced under the rain. Katie clasped his breast and sighed, smiling.
